Welcome to the Colorado Chapter Councilor Blog

In trying to figure out the best way to communicate to all CAL members and ALA members in Colorado on ALA activities as your Chapter Council representative, I decided that a blog might be a good addition to the reports I will submit to the CAL Board on my activities at ALA. I finished with my orientation earlier this morning and have met several of the other councilors from throughout the country. It is nice to find other newbies like me including councilors from Utah, Idaho, New Hampshire, and Vermont. I am currently attending the ALA Presidential and Treasurer Candidates' forum. From this meeting I will attend a series of meetings today including Council Relations Committee as well as a Chapter Forum committee that discusses the resolutions before the three formal Council meetings that take place on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. As I become aware of the issues being addressed in those resolutions, I will post the information and welcome feedback from CAL members on your position.
